My daughter had a visit here 8/25/26. The charged me twice and I am self pay, we have no insurance. I called and they said my bank would take care of it. I filed a dispute with my bank and they said Akron Childrens has to deal with it. Now I already sent a copy of my bank statement and they said they need another copy. I am getting a new pediatrician and closing my First Commonwealth Bank account. If worthless was a department, it would be both!
Dr. Burke is an absolute gem. My teenage daughter is a softball catcher, so she’s pretty rough on her knees. She’s seen her for a previous knee injury, and is now seeing her again for yet another knee injury. Dr. Burke is great about setting realistic expectations, is extremely kind and empathetic, and has a way of just instantly putting people at ease when she walks into a room. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a sports med doctor!
