I’ve tried many places for hair straightening, but Aki’s Hair Salon is hands down the best! My hair came out incredibly shiny and flowing with so much natural movement. It’s not that "flat" or "lifeless" look you sometimes get with straightening treatments. The owner is extremely patient and truly dedicated to her craft. I feel so lucky to have found such a talented and professional stylist. Highly recommend!
I am giving this place only 1 star because that’s the lowest score I can give. We went there so my son could get a haircut. The owner, Aki, was not patient and didn’t listen to what I was saying from the beginning. I kept telling her how I wanted my son's hair to look, but she kept asking for pictures instead. I asked her many times not to cut the hair too short, and she nodded but still cut it badly. In one day, Aki did three dangerous procedures that usually damaged hair: bleaching, straightening and coloring. But she used her extensive experiences to carefully monitor the temperature and texture and watch my hair change color from dark, dirty brown to silver grey. Now I can allow the nature grey to grow out without worrying. Great job done Aki!
