The office staff is not organized, Can't get a referral to specialist on time after calling office a week ahead of time. lost wages with time off. cancel appointment. runs office like a third world country. office manager very rude and seems to not care.

I am not a patient with Dr. Akinyeye and will never be a patient of his . I attempted three times to become a patient. First I called and sent the correct paperwork to the office on friday before lunch as instructed. I was called back the following thursday, which was not a problem due to the hurricane. I called Monday morning(a week from the hurricane) and I was put on hold and eventually I was hung up on this was 9:30 AM. I went with a paper copy of what labs i would need for my URGENT Cosmetic surgery that was coming up real soon therefore i went ahead of time so i could submit my labs on time if not i would have lost my scheduled date and would have to pay a rescheduling fee. The first problem was when they somehow MISSED one lab according to them they don't know how that happened because they made sure everything was there. My daughter was in to seek a test as part of being evaluated for ADD. She is a very young adult. Nurse made a comment to her that "you brought this upon yourself." Completely unprofessional and uncalled for. This comment was also made in front of her grandmother who was with her at the appointment. My daughter left in tears calling me to let me know what happened. There was multiple signs outside the doors stating that face masks were required. Everyone has to wear one. The Hispanic girl was just doing her job, not her fault you couldn't read the signs. She still has her job by the way and is one of the most liked workers there. You weren't even able to see the doctor due to not following the policies so how do you know he wasn't compassionate. By the way we're still waiting on Greg Abbott to call us.

I had a follow up appointment after a trip to the ER for panic and difficulties breathing. I checked in, paid the $150 for the “anxiety visit”, sat in the waiting room for 20-30minutes. She called me back , took my BP and weighed me and then took me to an exam room. At this point , one of the clerks came in and asked if I had a mask, which I didn’t, due to the difficulty breathing. I leave three the Dr is wonderful but the staff not worth nothing Ericka heavy set girl sits at desk very rude I was explaining my need for vitamins she seemed like she didn't care it irked me so I had said things to her like she didn't care and hung up the phone in my face.. Very un professional.. My whole family go there but now we switching new Dr until he gets respectable staff the only helpful one that calms things down is Mrs Rita.
