This company provided a perfectly fine apartment, but they tried to charge an additional pet fee, after time of booking on Airbnb and they requested it outside of the Airbnb platform. This is against Airbnb's rules. I had put my pet details in at time of booking and was approved, so all fees were paid at time of booking and I was very clear about my pets. Every year, we rent a beachfront unit at the end of August or early September. This year, we stayed in Windswept Villas beachfront. The unit was very clean and well-maintained. It seems like all of the appliances in the kitchen were brand new and top line. This unit was one of the nicest, well equipped and well stocked that we have ever rented. Much better than AirB&B or VRBO. Will definitely Akers Ellis again next year.

This was the best unit we have ever stayed at Kiawah. The layout and all the amenities were fantastic. Our family had a great week. Even being on the fourth floor, this was a great unit. Loved the balcony and being able to just sit and watch the ocean. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Business is dishonest and won’t accept renters to leave any negative feedback on public forums. Left a critical review for a VRBO rental that was removed immediately after being posted. Why bother accepting reviews if you’re going to only allow the positive ones? Avoid Aker Ellis if renting on Kiawah Island.
