This guy is a fraud. My experience was almost identical to last poster. Same exact excuses, brother, weather issues, equipment not available. I stupidly paid a deposit because I thought he was an upstanding member of our community...clearly he is not. He told me several times he would pay me back and still hasn't and it's been 7 weeks. I am in the process of filing a small claims suit against him. I will add screenshots of our communications if it becomes necessary.
Just wanted to warn people about a local thief - Aj Scapes landscaping LLC. took a $300 deposit for a project back on March 22. He kept putting off the start date for about 4 weeks, multiple excuses and finally I requested the funds be returned so I could pay another company. After still more excuses and return of funds request via Zelle, I'm still out this money!
I booked an appointment two weeks in advance with this company choosing dates that they selected. I updated them on the progress of the job site but never received a response back. The day of the install the company never showed up and they never reached out. I now to have to find someone else to do the work last minute. edit/ This company has never been to my house, nor have they installed any lighting at my house. They certainly have not done work at my house.
I do not recommend AJ. I hired them to remove a tree and do some landscaping work, but the entire experience was frustrating and unprofessional. The quote was attractive but they missed multiple scheduled appointments without any notice and constantly made excuses for not showing up. Running late from other clients, equipment issues, personal matters, schedule conflicts even though they proposed the day and time—you name it.
