When my husband had his stroke in Yakima, he was Airlifted to Virginia Mason in Seattle. The medics and pilot made me feel like my husband was their most important patient. Everyone from inside the office it seamed, came out to help load and unload him and to make sure I was ok. The whole trip was seamless I don’t think he could have gotten better care! Thank you!
I wanna thank airlift northwest for being so kind to my boyfriend Eric when he broke his back in May on Mother’s Day and got airlifted out of the Ridge Motorsports complex in Shelton Washington he was Riding his dirt bike out at the track there. The flight crew we had was skilled, knowledgeable, efficient and kind! They got my dad to Seattle with amazing timing and care.... I can’t say enough about their level of efficiency.
Living on an island, the response time to Seattle is very critical. The other option the ferry boat. This takes at least 35 minutes if you catch the boat as it leaves on schedule. Hopefully we never have to use this means of travel. Even if we don't, it's a nice donation to a well deserved group of service provider.
I worked at HMC when Airlift was founded by Dr. Michael Copass, after a tragic fire in Alaska, and no transport to HMC burn unit. Patients and families who used Airlift were so grateful, always praising the medical staff and the availability of this service. Many lives have been saved.
