In July 2021, Dr. Spencer Kozinn, my Urolgist/Surgeon took out my prostate. Very bad Gleason score biopsy, but no sign of spread. I could have waited, but for me I knew my mind would do a number on me - did I/did I not have the C. For me, I just wanted to deal with it as soon as possible. In 2023 at the age of 77 I had a recurrence of prostatic cancer after undergoing External beam radiation therapy in 2015. This was suspected by increasing levels of PSA. After a thorough work up including a definitive prostate biopsy, I underwent partial prostate brachytherapy with a focal tumor directed high dose radiation approach.
