RecommendedI have had to stay as inpatient for two serious issues, and I received amazing care from everyone including doctors, nurses, CNA’s, even people who got me admitted as a direct admit. I’ve been to MANY hospitals over the past 8 years and SSM was up there with Mayo Clinic Hospital where I had my last surgery.
Honestly the nurse practitioner( not even a damn doctor) walked in and didn't touch me to address the situation. This hospital er is worse than breese st.joesephs er. Said would give something for the pain and i recieved a shot of norflex. A muscle relaxer not pain reliever. What a joke an waste of 3 hours of my life.
I think they do great work. If they would actually hurry up a little bit more so they can get more things done at once. Very slow pase. But excellent service. Very nice kind caring and concerned.

I'm hesitant to even give this place 1 star. Worst ER care (or lack of) I've ever experienced. My 2 year old came in for severe stomach pain, screaming for 2 hours in the waiting room before even being assessed.
I would like to thank all the St Mary's Hospital staff in the Cardiology Department for taking such good care of me yesterday during my heart cath procedure. � A++++++
