Incredible spa with super clean facilities. Best facial that I’ve in years. Thank you Scheri!
I was given a gift card a few months ago to Agora. When I called to schedule an appointment, and mentioned my gift card, the new owner, Sherry was rude and unprofessional. She told me that she would not honor it, which is illegal according to state law, and then eventually hung up the phone on me. I plan on pursuing this matter legally but none of the less, I want to spread the word and hope that people choose to take their business elsewhere.
Horrendous ownership is all I have to say. The owner would not honor a gift card I received 10 months ago with the excuse that it is under new ownership now and stating the old owners were crooks and stole money, yadda, yadda, ya. Not my problem. I am out the $200 worth of gifted massages my father had bought me for my birthday and Agora will NEVER have my business or the business of my friends and family, many which reside in and around Stamford, CT.
The spa has finally reopened with new owners. Its now called Agora Day Spa Stamford. They did some polishing up and the place is beautiful. Lovely boutique, and my reflexology was amazing with Michelle.
I received a gift card for christmas from my boyfriend. When I called to set up an appointment I left multiple messages with no return phone call. Ended up calling the Mariott and had them tell me the spa was closed until further notice. Are they going to open again or did my poor boyfriend waste over $200 on a useless gift card with no chance to get a refund??
Does anyone have any information on whether they'll reopen? Or information on the owner, Joycie Lewis? They are still selling gift certificate online, which is illegal if they aren't just "closed for renovations" etc.
The owner is rude and unprofessional. She needs a few lessons on how to run a business. Great job closing up the Saturday before Christmas now i gifted hundreds of dollars worth of worthless gift certificates. Funny on how i called the spa the Sunday after the midday closure and the Marriott told me you guys just closed without notice, now they're telling people you have pipe issues. Bad business encounters all the way around.
While Agora is a small spa, it is quietly elegant, warm, and clean. Most importantly, I have never had less than an excellent, outstanding massage.
Thanks for a wonderful experience. Susan is great. Friendly and made me feel welcome. My therapist Kimberly was awesome. She did a great job at focusing on the paint areas around my knee. I enjoyed the steam room and the amazing shower. The next time I’m here for business I will definitely stay at Thiis Marriott and go back to the spa
