What happened to this establishment? Not long ago the service, food and coffee were excellent and the floors, table and general areas very clean. The last several times I've visited, however, that has not been the case. In fact, the employees seemed disinterested in providing any assistance (even taking orders). As such, the service was quite poor. When I asked that our table and general dining area be cleaned, I was handed a rag and expected to do it myself. The staff, all of them, lacked any motivation or pep in their step. Also, yawning when a customer is asking a question is not a good look. Pastries were all different sizes and one was not fully cooked. Positive: coffee was very good.
We happened into this sweet cafe and it was the best part of our day in Pinehurst! Sandwiches were superb.
