We have been going to the owners of Agave restaurant since the beginning at La Carreta on Bluebonnet ; then moved out to Prairieville and Agava Blue opened and have gone there since the beginning & have loved everything about both of these and the staff. We moved to Gonzales in May, 2026 very close to the Agava Blue in Gonzales which is very nice, food good.. but the waiter staff & bar help is not been good! We recently visited Agave Blue in Gonzales, LA, and unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. We ordered a Pinot Grigio and an Alamos Malbec. Our waitress returned with the Pinot Grigio and informed us that the bartender didn't know what a Malbec was. Seriously? We actually had to show her the wine listed on their own menu and explain that Malbec is a red wine.
