I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. After having a pilonidal cyst surgery, I saw him on 3 separate occasions with concerns of my wound (which he severely neglected). Each time I saw him he dismissed me and my concerns, telling me 'everything was fine'. After a trip to the ER and a referral to a wound clinic, I am now being treated with a wound vac. 0/5 stars.
Dr. Agapay has a friendly disposition and confident skill. I had a lipoma removed, and he did an amazing job! Before surgery, he also put my nerves at ease when talking with him as he confidently and clearly explained the process. I would definitely recommend contacting Dr. Agapay for your general surgery needs.
Dr. Agapay repaired a umbilical hernia via robot. He explained the whole process answered all my questions, participated in my rehab plan and his staff was great. The recovery was relatively pain free and major pain was gone after 2 days. It is now a little past 2 weeks and I am back at the gym for cardio, no issues. I would highly recommend Dr. A and I could not be more happy with my results. PS: Ask him about his motorcycle racing career :]
Dr Agapay saved my sons life 21 years ago when his appendix burst! He is an amazing doctor!
I received surgery today from Dr. Agapay. His tone of voice and explanation prior to my surgery was comforting. He removed an infected sweat gland from my armpit. The infection was constantly plaguing me for 6 months. This was my 4th abscess related surgery I've had. Out of all the surgeons that have done work on me, Dr. Agapay was by far the best. I'm truly grateful to have had such talented surgeon to fix my health issue.
DR. Agapay is so through with his explanation of my surgery a removal of my gallbladder, he told me what was going to happen and what I could expect when I got home, everything was spot on. My recovery was great and I healed in no time. He truly is an expert on gallbladder removal. The staff at his office on Thunderbird are very knowledgeable and friendly. Does not want to admit the mesh after a hernia repair could cause long-term issues and that your body could reject a synthetic material, even though its proven the mesh causes issues. Would rather you continue to be bedbound still about 10 months post surgery. Got to love our "health care" system.

Dr. Agapay performed my umbilical hernia repair and removal of a lipoma. He did an amazing job with both. Scars are minimal compared to other surgeries I've had. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who need a good surgeon.
