The manager of these apartments is a horrible person and seems to be racist. When I lived there, I referred some friends. And they promise that they give you money for every person you refer. The Manager ripped us off. She never gave us our money, she cheated on us. I do not recommend this place because of its unprofessional manager. And they do not deliver what they promise.

Please be careful with management they will charge you fees when you leave for anything I paid my rent on time every month and did everything to keep apartment clean and nice they will still charge you and if you don’t pay in three days they will ruin your credit take pictures before and after
RecommendedMy husband and I lived at Afton Oaks Apartments for the past 5 years, and have zero complaints upon our leave. We moved here while my husband and I went to LSU, and remained living here until we were able to purchase our first home. The staff is super friendly and was there to help with any questions we had. Dont move here if you care about your credit. I lived there 3 years payed my rent on time every month. When I moved out they sent my info to a collection agency with out trying to contact me first. No one tried to help all I get is there's nothing we can do. All the appliances are 30 to 40 years old and disgusting. Extremely thin walls and no cameras around for protection. I was robbed at gun point in the parking lot in front of the office!!!!
Everyone from the office staff to the maintenance crew is like family... just so friendly and over and beyond helpful with maintenance or even personal issues ...I feel very very safe living here and the grounds upkeep is really very nice...the grounds are lovely, the pool area is always spotlessly manicured as well. The location is great... the price is right ...I am very happy to be here and will likely be here a long time.
This place is a section 8 crap hole, don't expect to get your deposit back!
