They book an appointment with you, then cancel 30 minutes before they are supposed to arrive. Also, they ask you to pre-pay for some of the work before they arrive at your house or even give you a price for your job. Seems like a scam to me since the deposit only protects them from *your* cancellation. But when *they* cancel on you less than 30 minutes before they committed to arrive, there is nothing to protect you from that. Don't bother. Honorable service people WON'T ask you to prepay for their services.
