After checking online (as well as seeing a sign on site that advertised X-Ray machine availability) I booked an appointment early this morning to get imaging done for a possible broken foot. I missed a call from the urgent care an hour later, but no voicemail was left so I assumed they were doing a courtesy confirmation call. I arrived to the apontment 10 minutes early and was told at check-in they actually have neither an x-Ray machine nor an X-ray tech on site. AFC doesn’t even deserve one star. I had heard terrible things about this place and I should have listened. I only came here because we were tired and the West Chester location is the closest urgent care facility to my house. My son (high school-aged) has been feeling sick for almost two weeks with a cough and upper respiratory congestion. I write this in a calm manner….after my experience with this medical office I highly recommend a person needing medical attention to find a more professional doctor at another medical center to serve your medical needs. Highly unprofessional service….my experience with this center’s doctor hinged on complete medical negligence.
I went there for doubled ear infection, and I was greeted by two receptionists, at the front desk Ari, and another blonde lady, for I don’t know name. This person suggested I can make an appointment for later on the day, and bring my insurance card with me, or to pay out of pocket over $185.00, for the visit. I explained the situation and decided to call wife so she can text me ins card. I hate to leave a poor review, but we have had two major issues with this office. First, my 19-year-old daughter went in for flu symptoms. They gave a flu and covid test. Later we received a bill. We attempted to pay online but the invoice would not pull up. We went into the clinic and handed the bill to the front desk. She checked and said that there was no bill, no balance. My daughter is now receiving bills from a creditor. Secondly, this past Sunday (08/06/23) I went in for a strep test. I tested positive. Great experie... read more
I had an order to do some lab testing, creatine, urinalysis, blood work etc. . I never saw an uncoordinated medical team such as this. They were to send my blood work to Quest. AFC was supposed to send urinalysis as well. AFC said you should receive test results in 2 days. Eleven days later I received some results from my doctor. Several of the tests were incomplete NO, again No urinalysis tests because they claim none was taken. Would not rely on AFC Medical or Quest and would never go there again. My friends' mother waited 5 days for a prescription. Five. Whole. Days. For a prescription they could have easily written out and gotten done for her in five minutes. I find that to be absurd and unacceptable. Can't simply get a prescription out and written? Now her condition is worse, so thank you for contributing to that. Shame.
Not exactly how I wanted to spend my Friday morning, BUT with that said Shonteae made it a positive experience. She was smiling, sweet, thorough and helpful. Healthcare is not an easy place to work. She took the stress in stride and kept a great attitude. Thank you for employing great people.
