Horrible! 3 years active duty combat army veteran 30 years as PA state corrections officer and I can’t get a ct scan approved! I had clear cell renal carcinoma in my kidney. I had partial kidney removal in 2020. Here it’s 2026 on last years ct they found a nodule in my lung which grew another cm in 6 months! Now they will not approve a chest or abdomen ct for me! Aetna Medicare advantage is an absolute scam. Choose another advantage plan. Aetna decided not to cover my surgery five days before it was scheduled, and made me take physical therapy for a month before they would look at it again. Costing me money for copays. Aetna removed extra benefits, such as funds for specialist co-pays. Aetna does not cover all my scripts. Aetna has their call center in India. I have been covered from this company for my entire 17 year career with my employer. I recently experienced the government cuts. I was reduced to a level where I couldnt afford to pay the prorated amount to maintain my health coverage. I literally was reduced in this way for 2 weeks. Now I have my full time status. I can pay for them again. ANd Aetna set me back to 0 on my deductible even though I already earned almost 75% of it already this year. Why? for a 2 week lapse due to a major life changing difficulty. Like all insurance, it's a scam! Shocker. Every insurance company allows people turning 26 to be covered until the end of the insurance year. Yet, a week into May, I was informed I have three weeks to find new insurance! This insurance company has awful coverage and poor communication. It's disappointing to live in a country that allows this to happen.
Worst insurance company EVER. $750 copay for an ER visit. Almost $150 coming out per pay check for what!! AETNA IS A SCAM! Don’t let you out until end of the year. Paid over 1,500 to get three wisdom teeth out. I will NEVER go back to this insurance!!
