I almost didn't tour this community based on the review I had seen from last year but I still did and I know this was the best thing I could have done. As it turns out, I came in the midst of a change of directors. My mom had been living at a community in Bothell that could no longer take care of her, in fact they were about to ask my mom to move out. I moved my mom in to Aegis last April. Not a good memory care facility and over priced – Memory care area is very grim and bleak. The aids are great, but over worked in this area. It's cramped with old smelly furniture and the poor people spend most of the day sitting. Considering their price and the $6K non refundable fee they charge to move in. Look elsewhere. They also bring assisted living people in to be cared for stretching the already overworked staff very thin and taking attention away from those who live there. Small architecture firm with personal attention This is a very small architectural design firm located on Western Avenue in Guilderland. They offer design services ranging from residential to commercial to institutional. all sizes of projects seem to be represented. Their fees seemed reasonable, and the architect was willing to meet with me at night to discuss my project. PROS: Small company gives personal attention CONS: Small office cramped
