Eight years ago, I got my CPAP machine through Advocate Health at Home. The packet that I received with my CPAP seemed professional, and the gentleman who handed it over to me at Good Shepherd seemed knowledgeable and caring. I unfortunately have experienced the same thing as other hip replacement patients that have shared reviews. My mom had a hip replacement, physical therapy was ordered, but never saw any actual physical therapists. They were no call - no shows. This is an egregious oversight and my mother has suffered for it.
The service is awful! My father has just been in the hospital and had a port installed to remove fluid from his left chest cavity. The nurse said she would be scheduled every other day to remove fluid and teach care giver and family. No show today. When I called the scheduler told me the nurse would not be back for another three days! The man is in horrible pain and struggles to breath. If I do not see a nurse today I am contacting the news media to get a story out on the bad service. Also, this group and the hospital do not... read more
If my life depended on them I'd be dead! Actually my life does depend on them because I have a Picc line going into my heart that should be running 24 hours to put antibiotics in to save my life. The pump is so finicky that at least 6 times a day it beeps for different reasons. When we can't get it going again we call the numbers provided. They say if you don't hear back from them in an hour call back. Meanwhile the pump is NOT putting medicine into my heart!! Extremely poor customer service. I have a CPAP machine from them. I recently tried to contact them regarding a setting on the machine. I made 2 calls to the one week apart with promises that someone would call me back. Didn't happen. On the 3rd call the person said the sleep tech I was trying to reach retired 10 months ago. No one could tell me this on the first 2 calls!!!. I called who the tech reported to 2 days ago, Of course had to leave a voice mail. Not surprised that no one called back once again.
