AVOID THIS LAB FROM HELL. This lab needs major change, patients are waiting for hours to get a blood test, the check in process is at least 45 minutes and another two hours to be called in for the actual blood test. Patients are suffering while waiting, we are talking about elderly patients that are fasting for hours. On top of that hospital staff keep bringing more patients without waiting in line. This lab is not adequately staffed to accommodate the high volume morning blood draws. There is usually only 1 phlebotomist to handle all of the patients who come in for the early morning blood work, and there is a huge wait. I’ve waited 2+ hours fasting. There is no way to make an appointment either. Please hire more phlebotomists! (And students don’t count). I really like the regular phlebotomists who know me very well for my small challenging veins, but the wait time is just excruciating. The hospital budget cuts and shor... read more
