The fee for a walk-in visit is $180. The nurse collects basic information such as temperature and blood pressure, but the process is completely perfunctory, and abnormal symptoms such as chills and an elevated temperature are apparently not taken into consideration. On top of that, the nurse attempted to put a thermometer in my mouth without using a disposable cover or any apparent sanitization. When I refused, she simply put the same thermometer under my arm. So, my doctor put me on a new prescription in March, wanted me to come back for blood work after being on it, no appointment necessary, just lab work. Called today to set it up. Got a woman who coughed incessantly during our conversation, making communication impossible. First she tried to refill the prescription. I explained, again, I needed blood work to see if prescription was working. She then explained that the doctors see patients every six months, and I was in during March. I have avoided the doctor for some time. I was anxious about coming back to getting my health in order. Dr. Murray and her nurse were very sensitive to my concerns and have listened to me with their full attention. I have had 2 appointments and my concerns are being addressed in the order they need to be. Dr. Murray is comforting but also very realistic about treatment and side effects.
