This is a follow-up to a review I posted recently. The company got back in touch with me (after seeing the review). We discussed what happened, how my concerns fell through the cracks, and what the company was doing to avoid that happening again in the future. They also reconsidered my request for a refund. Overall, I was very pleased with Advantage's follow up. How things initially happened was really frustrating. That said, I'm pleased to update my review to indicate that they did make things right again.
I had a horrible experience with Advantage. I had a clogged half-bath sink. When the plumber arrived, I explained everything I had done and considered. He waived me off and spent 30 minutes repeating the same things I had already done and didn't work. Then he snaked through the vent pipe on the roof for another 30 minutes. He left giving me a bill for 1 hour of labor ($205) and promised me an estimate, stating "I snaked and came up with mud." They came out to check a shower drain that was "slow." They had given me a cost to come out which is 85 dollars. Ok. He said he could fix it, ok. Never gave me a quote, so I figured it would be the 85 dollars. Nope. When he left the bill was 250 dollars. He was there about an hour. I called the place three times and asked for a manager or the owner to call me back. Nope. Cowards they are. I paid them 190 dollars, and thought that was fair.
