I went to the Brock Center for PET scan it was supposed to be read in four days. That did not happen. Something as serious as a PET scan the radiologist didn’t think it’s that important. Sentaras are the worst health care system.
After a delay in routine mammogram results due to a clerical error, Melissa Tankersley at the Advanced Imaging Center at the Sentara Cancer Center took my panicked inquiry, found the problem causing the delay, had it escalated to i.t., which subsequently got the results I'd been anxiously waiting for made available within hours. They Couldn’t read the X-ray order from the Sentara doctor upstairs or couldn’t call them to figure out. I left my teen daughter at the desk in imaging to go verify at upstairs office that the order was sent and then was given a physical copy of the order, in which the staff said , oh that is what I was looking at I. The system. What in the world?
