They might as well just call this place “ROOM” because ain’t nothing about this place for emergencies! Bring you a blanket & a couple books & phone chargers. Go ahead & cancel your weekend plans because you’re going to be here all day & night. Ridiculous wait times, would be better off driving an hour to another hospital, will still be faster.
Waited over 3 hours to be seen for a miscarriage. I guess your baby dying is not considered an emergency to this hospital.
Staff was extremely rude and treated me like i was a chore, told me they couldn't help me basically.
Self Regional Hospital emergency room is anything but that. My husband went there for emergency health issues and was met with attitude and disrespect. He has been here since 2:30 a.m., it is now 7:00 a.m. They are not for the community!
Major regional hospital system, yet they have no payment assistance program for low income individuals. They will negotiate and accept pennies from your insurance company, then harass you for the rest of the bill with no options or adjustments. Disgusting behavior, hounding individual people for outrageous billing amounts while bending themselves over for major insurance corporations. Find other doctors. Even in an emergency, consider traveling somewhere else if at all possible.
