Had my 1971 Datsun 240Z distributor reconditioned a few years ago with close to 200K miles on it. Started having timing and other ignition issues. A.D. did a great job on it and I have put over 10K trouble free miles on it since.
You're in good hands with Jeff. I sent in a bad candidate for restoration and he patiently explained the situation to me. Based on this information, I found a new unit for my '73 Mercedes 450sl. The restored distributor came with timing recommendations based on his accumulated knowledge. Included below are also photos of what distributors look like before and after his work. Thanks, Jeff.
Jeff is an absolute legend. Our MGB was having some very odd backfiring and running issues and we sent off our distributor to get it worked over, rebuilt and recurved. Now our B runs absolutely perfect and over an almost 350 mile drive over 5 hours no issues were had and his specs for install be perfect! The next older vehicle we have a dizzy on, we'll be sending it his way before we ever attempt it.

great experience and great work. I have a old Clark flathead fork lift that had a worn out distributor shaft. I sent out mine busted junk and it came back brand new with point gap set ready to install in very reasonable time runs great now no issues. absolutely should give this guy a chance before buying new or retrofitting modern junk
