Dr Adlington performed knee replacement on my mother. In the consult he completely ignored me, didn't introduce himself or acknowledge my presence. A little frustrating as I am her primary decision maker. Even in the consults after the surgery, same behavior. To top it off, we never got a follow up appt after a year. His office dropped the ball on that one. Surgery was fine, but his bedside manner is non existent. A close friend had the exact same experience with him, ignoring his wife presence the entire process.
Today is exactly 1 year since I had both my knees replaced. The pain period was 3 months, the recovery time was about 6 months. No I feel almost as new and capable as 20 years ago. Thanks so much Doctor Adlington!
He took time to answer my questions, before as well as after surgery, showed me the before and after xrays at my request. Appointments were friendly and reassuring. I worried about the surgery, expecting to be less mobile than I was but was very happy that it all went very well. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Adlington and his team. Thank you.
