I am on the Board of Directors at Adkins Village and the apartments are well maintained. The apartments are inspected yearly by Benton Charter Township and HUD. All work orders are taken care of within 24 hours. Residents are very complimentary of the housing.
I have a client living in this facility. She's been there ever since the door opened which was fourteen years ago. Her place is in very poor condition. She has not had her walls painted or carpet or kitchen floor replaced in FOURTEEN years. Her stove is so worn that the dials no longer have numbers on them. For years they have promised to update the apartment and as of yet nothing has been done. So in her defense i'm advocating for her to see if she can get this taken care of so that she can live in an clean updated home.
