I went there with my daughters car in – Learn how to fix transmissions. And stop ripping off innocent people.
On Memorial Day weekend, broke down on I-87 50 miles south of Plattsburgh..the tow truck took us to a different transmission place where even though the guys were open, didn't bother to return our calls or answer them. The guys from Adirondack were quick to get to the job and get it done. Really honest too. I hope this helps..I relied on this site to find them and hopefully you'll choose them as well. Just be honest with your budget and they'll work it out with you.
Came to Plattsburgh for my daughter graduation from Brooklyn .My 2004 explorer broke down on Friday night.We went to Plattsburg ford who told us there wasn't anything they could do till late next week.They recommended Adirondack transmission knowing there was a good chance they had all parts in stock.I call over and talked to the shop manager who told me they do what ever they could to get me back on the road as soon as possible .When we arrived at the shop it was about four thirty in the afternoon.They stayed there until el... read more
Adirondack Transmissions saved my baby! – Broke down on a Wednesday and called Pete at Adirondack Transmissions. He towed in my Durango, rebuilt my transmission, and it was ready by Friday for less then $2000 all together! He also gave me a great warranty, but I'm not worried, my truck runs like new! Thanks Pete for doing such a terrific job and getting my baby back to me so soon!
SO ONE DAY MY TRANSMISSION GOES ALL HAYWIRE IM LATE FOR WORK MY VAN WONT GO IN REVERSE. I GO BACK IN THE HOUSE AND CALL MY FRIEND AND HE TOLD ME HIS FRIEND PETE HAS A TRANSMISSION SHOP. AFTER SPEAKING TO PETE THE OWNER OF ADIRODACK TRANSMISSION I WAS BLOWN AWAY AT HOW DOWN TO EARTH AND COURTEOUS HE WAS. HE TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING FOR ME ALL THE WAY FROM GETTING MY VAN TO HIS SHOP INSPECTING TRANSMISSION, FIXING THE ISSUE AND MAKING SURE I HAD A RIDE BACK AND FORTH TO WORK.
