RecommendedI have the 12 foot pack boat which I bought new about 12 years ago in Ferrisburg, vt. I love it more now than when I bought it and it still looks as good. If you love self powered boating and getting out on the water alone, with just your thoughts and Nature, its hard to beat this boat . I have owned canoes, kayaks etc. and this boat can't be beat for above purpose. Don't forget your dog and camping gear. The stability is awesome and it's quiet, smoothe and did I mention fast.
RecommendedThe guide boats are beautiful, handle well in all weather conditions, are easy to transport and get your farther with less effort than any other row/paddle boat. They are far superior to canoes or kayaks.
RecommendedMy Vermont Dory is remarkably quick and easy to handle, even for an old, out of shape amateur (me) under not always easy conditions... and a thing of beauty, too boot. Having fun rowing and fishing in Long Island's Great South Bay and environs.

Was able to get out on one of their guide boats the other day and was amazed how easy it was to row. Also surprised how fast boat went in water when rowing. Very light and we'll made boats. Hand made and American made too. �
Have a 15 ft Guideboat and a 14 ft Vermont Fishing Dory. Both are outstanding boats. Recently needed a replacement seat strap and one was sent the next day at no cost - terrific customer service.
