I tried to deposit our tax refund check into my checking account and was told I couldn’t do it because my wife’s name was on the check & the only way it could be deposited is if we had a joint account. My wife was standing right there with me and told the clerk she was fine with depositing the check. My wife then asked the clerk if she could cash the check and was told no even though I have three accounts there. It makes no sense to me why I can’t put money in the bank.
