"Don't Bother after hours" Emergency or not ! I have to agree with some of the other reviews about having an answering service. What is the point if they are no help at all. I guess if there is not going to be a vet on call, then at least have the professional curtsy to direct your patients to another vet locally that will help them. Not send them an hour or more down the road, Sometimes a simple phone call returned from the Doctor could determine whether symptoms are life threatening or not. Alisha and I can relate to each other I love the Addison Vet Clinic!!! I have a dog, who is very dog aggressive due to an unfortunate past. The girls that work there are the absolute Best!! They make me and my "mean" dog feel welcome, when others give me nasty looks for having a "mean pit". He is my baby, and they understand that. Don't get me wrong, they take the precautions that they need to to ensure the safety of the other dogs in the waiting room when we come in, but it is in a nice well mannered way. Inadequate On Call Service On December 2, 2010 I called Dr. Kelley's office because our beloved Husky was having a full blown stroke in our livingroom and the on call service answered the call. I was hysterical when she answered and I explained to her what was happening and she flatly explained that "Dr. Kelley's office was closed at the time", She did not offer to contact Dr. Kelley, she didn't give me his office hours or anything. Great Chiropractors for dogs too! Dr. Junge is a great Chiropractor for dogs!!! I left my local vet with a $200 bill and rimadyl for my choc lab who was in great pain. I found Dr. Junge on the internet and after a 10 minute adjustment he was like new (adjusted his neck and back) with a $20 bill. They are wonderful caring doctors. Would highly recommend them!
Caring Professionals Best vets and prices in the area! Now that we live out of state, we still continue to visit the clinic with our four legged family members because we know they get the best care at the best prices :-)
Bad Staff I had taken my dog to Dr Kelley for the last 15 years. Two days ago I called Dr Kelleys for an emergency and they told me that they wouldn't take care of her because no one was on call, I had stated that it was an emergency and they still refused to call Dr Kelley. We ended up having to rush her to Ann Arbor Emergency Clinic, she ended up passing away. Great Prices! NOBODY can beat their prices! I live one hour and 15min away and it is still significantly cheaper with gas and everything for me to take my dogs here. I have three Australian shepherds and normally i wouldn't be able to afford to keep them all up to date on their shots but thanks to the clinic i can! I mean $15 for an office visit! WOW! It's amazing. The only complaint I have is you have to wait kind of long on the walk in days but it is worth the price, The only Staff member I am not a huge fan of is Dr.Spoon... read more
caring doctors and low fees I travel about 2 hours so that my dog and cats have the care that they deserve and it doesn't hurt my pocket book. My dog broke his leg and at a nearby emergency vet they charges me 620.00 and told me they couldnt fix the break. Took him to Addison and they charged me 500.00 for the whole surgery and care.
Exceptional care, Exceptional staff I have waited patiently at the clinic sometimes 1/2 hour, sometimes 2 hours. It's worth it everytime! The staff is thorough and upbeat, friendly and always willing to help. The doctors take their time with the clients and are very compassionate. I also like Dr. Spoon who fills in when the doctors are not in. She is very friendly, takes her time and is caring.
