About this business
We are a mixed practice animal hospital treating both large and small animals with the exclusion of birds and reptiles. Offering both primary care and surgical services. We currently have two full-time veterinarians. Dr. Clifford Addison is the founder of Addison Animal Hospital, and a University of Florida graduate. He established the clinic in 1990. Dr. Andrew Buergo, our associate veterinarian is a graduate of St. Matthew's Univeristy. He is available for appointments and some emergency hours.

We have taken one of our cats and one of our dogs to Addison. Both times with positive results from the first phone call to the end of treatment. Staff very helpful and caring as well as Dr. Addison and the other partnering veterinarians. Also, compassionate and explained the procedures very well. Have visited another clinic in Lake City with somewhat negative results and experience. Highly recommend Addison Animal Hospital/Clinic.
Anytime I go in whether just for meds for one of my animals or of recent taking one of my precious babies in, I'm always treated with respect, courtesy and compassion. Thank you to Dr. Andy and staff for taking such good care of our animals. I highly recommend Addison Animal Hospital and Dr. Andy!!
Dr. Andy is a kind, caring, Vet with excellent skills. I can’t say enough about the kindness and professionalism he demonstrates at every visit. I have three dogs and one rescue he has treated and I was pleased at every visit. He takes the time to listen and truly cares about my pets. He never fails to make me feel comfortable as well as my pets. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring Vet. He gets 5 stars from me! Thank you Dr. Andy!
Ugh! We wanted to frequent this place for our new Labrador, Maxwell, who is 10 weeks old, and the bovine receptionist made us feel so unwelcome after TWO attempts at registering our lil guy (called for TWO days and NEVER GOT AN ANSWER) that we have decided to deal with the very fine folks of Lake City Animal Hospital! I hope Dr. Addison takes seriously the lack of professional decorum found in his employees!!!!
Attentive to the needs of the Pet .Welcoming and patient.
The staff and vets here are very caring and capable. I arrived without an appointment because my cat had an injury, and they worked me in within a reasonable time. The vet took the time to describe the situation and medications with me and gave me choices based on my financial situation. Definitely not the cheapest vet around, but can't complain because of the exemplary care.
I took my Peaches who was 15 years old on February 19 her life was ending and becoming pure pain, Dr. Addision and Karen was very gentle compassionate with her and helped us through the hardest decision we ever had to make was letting our baby girl go. The most humaine thing I ever witnessed and her pain was all over within seconds. Thank you Dr. Addision and staff for showing complete compassion for my Husband and I as we had to say goodbye to our baby girl she wasn't just our fur baby she was our family thank you all again... read more
