This is an outstanding IOP and a therapy-style in general. I’ve been to many therapists in my life and after 20 years of addiction and abuse, this has been the most helpful to me. I decided on this IOP by chance after my in-patient rehabilitation, and what a difference it has made. Juan’s no-nonsense approach helps not only with addiction but with living. I feel very lucky to have discovered this place. Juan is an excellent psychologist with a true respect for the roots of the profession back to the classic psychologists of the 20th century. He does an amazing job at guiding his patients to discovering how to better cope with the realities of their problems and make changed in their lives. He opened my eyes to so many new perspectives on mental health, substance abuse as well as life in general. His integration of the teachings of Zen Buddhism into a western style group therapy session is perfect for anyone who resonates with eastern or western techniques for managing their mental well being. Adaptive is an amazing experience. The cutting-edge psychology brings self-actualization to a new level. This new and innovative approach helps to guide gently, encourages self-love and self- respect, as well as acceptance of others.
