My current Doctor of 35 years just retired so I was looking for a new doctor and Dr. Owens was highly recommended to me by my friends who's son is a local surgeon. I visited his office and was relieved that he had room for new patients. I was very thankful, as Durango has a shortage of Primary care physicians. I made an appointment and Dr. Owens reviewed my health history. I never felt rushed and he spent all the time it took to review my records and made some suggestions to me for tests that were very convenient on the prem... read more

I immediately connected with Dr. Owens on my first office visit. It was nice to find a doctor who listened and has a desire to not only treat sickness, but to practice wellness. He's proactive and helpful. I've since referred him to others.

When I moved to Durango, Dr. Owens was my assigned physician at Horse Gulch. Then he was moved to some other position and I saw several other providers. When I saw he had opened this new practice, my wife and I both became patients. I find him very knowledgeable and remarkably accessible. I trust his judgment and appreciate his clear explanations. I’m 76 years old, have relocated a number of times, and have seen numerous doctors. Dr. Owens stands out in my experience and I am glad to have him back as my doctor.

Had to see another provider for accurate diagnosis and better care. Terrible experience.

I took my elderly mom for her first visit with Dr Owens and appreciated how much time he took reviewing her medical history and medications. When he did have to address questions to me he explained why and made sure that was acceptable to her prior to speaking to me (I was at her side the entire time). In addition he worked with both of us to develop a strategy for her ongoing care. I would highly... read more

I started to see Dr. Owens when my PCP was away. When she quit the practice, I started seeing him full time, and really developed a good report with him. He was considerate, listened to my complaints and fully address my concerns. I would recommend him to anyone seeking good care.

Avoid seeing him even if u r dying!!! He doesn’t care about patients. He will go out of his way to make u look bad w/other Drs If he doesn’t want to treat you even if u do nothing wrong.

Dreadful. Poor excuse for a doctor. Look elsewhere. Be forewarned. See him at your own peril.

He is my PCP, and I have seen him at least 4 times. I have had nothing but a good experience with him each time.
