I always have great experiences when I visit my primary, Dr. Houghton. If you are looking for someone who is very knowledgeable and knows how to teach a patient about his reasoning, this is the Dr. for you. He is a great Dr. all around!
Dr. Houghton is extremely caring and very professional. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and explains his diagnosis and treatment. One time he knew I was very worried about a test result and personally called me with the negative results so I wouldn't have to worry about it.
Dr Houghton is a great and caring doctor. What I like is he's never rushed; he spends the appropriate time needed to answer any and all questions. The front staff and nurses are fantastic too!
Very patient, listens well to my concerns. explains his perspective and also willing to understand my viewpoint as he recommends therapy or treatment for me. He is young, but seems to have a great background and experience in family medicine. Since all my doctors that I have seen are my age and retiring, it was a blessing for me to find a doctor and an office that is so good. I would call it an office of contemporary medicine, but with an old fashioned caring of the family doctor of past times.
Office staff was disorganized. Bill was outrageous! Dr. Houghton spent 15 minutes with me in the exam room and basically spent the entire time explaining office policies and procedures. After the appointment, the doctor did not have the professional courtesy to call regarding results of abnormal lab work. When I called back to discuss results with him, I was referred to a nurse who knew less about my condition than I did.
