I want to share my experience so other patients, especially transgender patients and domestic violence survivors, can make informed decisions. I needed to have a Lumpectomy a little over a year and a half ago. I asked my surgeon if a breast reduction would be possible as well. He recommended Dr Weinfeld. Dr. Weinfeld is a very talented and a near-perfectionist in his field of Plastic and reconstruction surgery. He showed so much concern in my case and I could not be happier with the results! I had a double mastectomy, so he was a part of that initial surgery placing spacers to prepare me for my reconstruction. Reconstructed lower flap of nostril following Mohs surgery for basil cell carcinoma. Impressed that both doctors coordinated surgery on same day. Dr. Weinfeld’s staff was very upfront about skin graft issues in office and showed us a series of photos detailing different types of grafts, from simplest to most complicated. Dr Weinfeld has a very good, and well-deserved, reputation as a surgeon. His office is busy so sometimes some patience is needed, but we'll worth it.
I met with Dr. Weinfeld to discuss the possibility of removing 10+ year old breast implants and an abdominoplasty after three pregnancies w/ very large babies and only being 5 feet tall. My abdominal muscles were stretched beyond exercise. My main concerns were: #1- Having to take a lot of pain meds and #2 blood clot post op. #1 - Dr. Weinfeld offered a pain management plan that I had never seen before that included non-opiod prescriptions to take to avoid having to use the opiods as much. Dr. Weinfeld has performed both a breast reduction and neck lift for me and each was outstanding. He listens to what you want and accomplishes it. His staff is exceptional in explaining procedures to you and what to expect before and after surgery. I cannot say enough complimentary things about him and his staff. Anyone using him will not be disappointed with the results. I just had my first mammogram after the breast reduction and the technician said she had never seen one that was as good as mine.
