Brought my RDX in mid July 2024 for AC issue. Process started with Evac/Recharge of system & added dye that would show where leak/issue was. Went back early/mid ******* told Compressor Hose needed repair. Claim sent to Extended Warranty (3rd party) and denied. Repair took place end of ******* paid the $1,000 to change the ** and thought I was done. While still onsite engine began spewing Freon, they took car back and gave me a loaner. I serviced my MDX and paid around 2k. Technician changed my front shocks/breaks/routers and during the service the wiper fluid **** was pulled out which went under the hood caused the **** to broke. Service center should be liable and fix the broken part but they are claiming that the part is already in wear and tear condition hence asking me to pay accessory/labour cost. Sales experience was wonderful. Service experience was horrible. The men in the service department are rude, dismissive, and disrespectful to women. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! There are many dealerships in the Austin area...don't use this one!
All I could say is I am highly disappointed on David McDavid of Austin. I trusted not 1 but 4 of vehicles. I have been a customer for over 11 years. My *********************************************** which I trusted everything they stated needed to be repaired was repaired correctly. Unfortunately that did not happen, at around 10pm my wife was driving back home, where she heard a rattling noice coming from the right driver side front tire. After speaking with the Team at David McDavid Acura of Austin. They addressed my concerns and corrected my MDX.
I did a lease with this location in late 2020. Not only did the finance person have time to see me, I ended up with 2 warranty plans that I didn't ask for. My fault I should have seen it. With that being said, we moved from Austin to *******. I was told at my signing that the plan I purchased would cover oil changes, wiper blades, tire rotations, ect. Moved to *******, take the truck in for service and of course they claim that we didn't have any warranty plans in place so we've paid out of pocket for all oil changes and etc... read more
My 19-year-old son traded his car and put down 5K and bought a 2019 **** Mustang. He drove it home and the engine threw a rod. We had it towed to the nearest **** in ******* and they said because the cold air intake was modified **** may nullify the manufacture warranty. The ** said it was unfortunate but there is nothing he could do, to take it up with the warranty. Which will take months to fix. It is possible that he mis-geared at some point, which can cause it to throw a rod. The Mustang was in fantastic condition at the time of sale, and it is showing to have remaining warranty based on age and mileage. I have had problems with this dealership living up to its end of the deal from a service perspective. I bought a $1000 maintenance package from their Finance Director in 2019 when I leased the car. That package came with oil changes, fluid top-off, tire rotations and pickup/delivery to and from my house. I assisted my son (lives in ****) in researching vehicles, speaking to salesmen and getting their lowest purchase price (including TT&L). My son decided on the Acura RDX, mainly because of the lowest total cost. The price included licencing in **** and sending the plates to ****. I purchased a used vehicle (GMC SUV) at David McDavid Acura of ****** on 4/11/2020. First thing; A few hours after leaving the dealership the battery went dead. I had to get a boost. The battery also went dead the 2nd day on 4/12/2020. The ********* *******, Bryson, had a worker come to my home and charge my battery.
