RecommendedMy son has been taking karate classes for the past 5 years and I have nothing bad to say about Activstars (used to be Young Champions of America.) In fact signing him up was one of the best things I've done for my child. The classes are affordable and convienantly located. They offer scholarships for families that need help paying for the semester. My son's teacher, Mark Stuever, is one of the most patient, respectable, and kind men I know. My son completely admires him.
Never again! This company is such a joke! They don't care about the kids at all. It's all about the money. They are rude and they lie to you at every chance. Their policies are not disclosed to the parents properly. If you are considering using them I recommend using the YMCA. We called and the prices are very similar and the program is much better given them much more talented instructors. This place is a joke don't waste your money.
Not to happy , got my girls with them for the summer program for the first time , and they stated since it was summer that if they were to miss a class that the girls werent going to get counted off on it and couse they arent doing no competition since its summer that they can understand people go on vacation and stuff, im not dum i know what i heard know there telling me that i have to pay for there mis class are you serious , plus one off my girls started to fell bad since she didnt have a partner to dance with and the tea... read more

Today I sat in a community center and watched 7-10 little girls (ages 6-7) anxious and begging for something to do as they waited for their coach. She was over 35 minutes late to their 45 minute practice. After calling the company headquarters & receiving a MUCH less than caring response, the majority of parents shuffled out of the door with their disappointed girls. The instructor was late and still 10 minutes away. The lack of professionalism from the coach & organization combined was absolutely appalling.
i absolutely love Activstars. I personally have been in this organization since i was in 5th grade and im currently going to be a sophomore in high school. I currently am in cheer leading for this organization. this program has helped me in many ways. I love to compete with my teams, as i am a Crossover on the division 5 elite team and the division 4 pro-all star team. i've been to Nationals two times and i'm returning again this summer for my third time. My review will be short in that the activstars program at Foothills Recreation Center in Glendale, Az is amazing. Coach Tiffany is amazing and her routines are top notch. Her parent helpers are the best too. ( I'm not one of them lol) There will always be hit or miss coaches, but don't blame that on the program or company.
Thank you ActivStars!!! My daughter started cheer leading exactly one year ago, she started in JV, was immediately promoted to Varsity the next semester and again promoted into AllStar at the same time. She loves her coach David. He is an amazing coach, disciplined and keeps the team motivated!
