I called Action Door, Mentor, to fix my garage door. While they fixed the issue, I feel compelled to share their pricing. First of all, I live in Mentor and their Mentor store is permanently closed so, unknown to me, my Mentor phone number went to Brooklyn Hts; however it did not make a difference with pricing. They replaced two parts for a grand total of $56.85. My bill was $290.97. I called to find out there is always a $175.00 service charge for the first 30 minutes plus always a $5.00 fuel surcharge. Covid forced the company to close down the Mentor branch, with all the employees having the option to work out of the closest branch. With 60 trucks on the road daily, we normally have somebody close. The particular tech that serviced the M****** residence on 11/6/23, lives in Mentor and services that area frequently. As a previous satisfied customer we ordered a door for our new garage on October 6th. It arrived at their facility on December 1st. This was within (Barely) the estimated widow for installation. They notified us of a January 4th installation date yesterday December 4th. When asked why a month delay the answer given is that one of their 2 installers is off work and the other only does one door per day M,W,F. The assumption being that they don't want to pay benefits and use 1099 help/part timers. This is a choice they have mad... read more

Great doors nice installers but it came with no light bulbs and the cord wasnt long enough so i had to hire a electrican to fix.

Lightbulbs are supplied by customers for preference of wattage or LED. Cords are standard 4' length. Outlets spaced longer away from unit in garage, will need customer supplied/installed cords.
We had our garage door replaced last week. 2 Action door technicians came out and did a great job in minimal time! They replaced the door panels, tracks, spring, hardware, the whole works. They even made sure our garage door opener was working correctly. They were very professional, cleaned up, and hauled the old material away. I would highly recommend Action Door for all your garage door needs!

Terrible service. One year after install noticed a nail not installed in frame. Called and was told there is only one year warranty and service call is $120 for first half hour and $45 per half hour after that. They are the ones who did not install the nail. Four years after install the screws connecting the door to the opener completely came apart. Called and again told only one year warranty so it would cost $120 for first half hour and $45 per half hour after that. Again their faulty install caused the problem.

Our garage door broke on Thursday evening. We were unable to get our cars out of the garage. We called Action Door and they were able to send a technician out Friday morning. He arrived on time and was courteous and polite. He replaced a broken spring; actually we had him change both springs.. He checked for proper operation, aligned, balanced and lubricated door. Also tested safety. We felt the price was fair and competitive.

On May 2nd 2019, Action Door sent a tech to my home to fix my garage door at my request due to an attempted break in. The tech that visited my home was informed that the garage door needed to be fully operational (i.e. go up and down) so that my husband and I would be able to park our SUV's safely in the garage. The tech reset the cables and rollers, straighten out the vertical tracks, straighten and reattached the styles. Ending cost was $200. Not bad right? Had a garage door installed last month. One of the main reasons I chose them was there promise to clean up afterwards. Found screws, nuts, and bolts in the driveway and garage. Very sloppy clean up. They never called to see if I was satisfied.
