Buy the family membership. It's totally worth it. Love that the kids know almost every nook and cranny. Some of the best exhibits.
This museum feels so old-school, in the best way possible. Their Hall of Mammals with life-sized dioramas of taxidermied creatures are fascinating. Lots of stuff to see and do, and they had a cute "dinosaur" show for kids with giant dinosaur puppets.
Fantastic permanent exhibits as well as great special exhibits and programs. Plenty for kids to do too.
I draw dinosaurs so visiting this museum is a must for me. Great collection of fossils from different time periods. I also love the gardens and the butterfly exhibit. Nice place to bring family and friends visiting from out-of-town.
Awesome place for kids. Best of all the entrance is free. Just pay for parking.
