About this business

Tucked into thebrownstoneloft landscape of the NoHo district, Acme is turning heads and drawing nearby upper-class locals in with Scandinavian cuisine- locavore style. Simple dishes such as local oysters and arctic char seem to be the real crowd-pleasers h... read more

Going back for those sweet tater fries! – Overall I thought the food we ordered (po' boys, jamalaya, etc) was great, but those sweet potato fries--lightly dusted with cinammon--are going to be my downfall!

Great Cajun food – The food was great. Authentic Cajun style. The sweet potato mash was delicious. The place is large so we didn't have to wait for a table on a Friday night.

Delishly Delicious – Love, love, love ACME. If you like your food spicy, you'll love ACME too. The cornbread placed at every table before each order is hot and soft...just like granny used to make. The cajun corn is hot enough to start a 3 alarm fire in your mouth. Topped with butter, shredded cheese and cayenne pepper. The Jambalya states very similar to those found on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

Good Brunching – I hadn't been to Acme in more than 10 years. But after this weekends brunch I'm ready to become a regular. It's an excellent value. For 11 bucks the brunch is enormous. They have the coffee or tea plus a drink thing included with the giant meal. But the best part is the cornbread. I don't think that I have ever had such fantastic cornbread. It is so moist and sweet. It's got a whole different kind of texture of it's own. The meal was good with a Cajun flair. I got the Bulldog, which was eggs on sausage on bi... read more

Now I can relax! – Excellent cajun food. Close to many theaters around there (I saw some guy who was in a play that was also in the movie "Hollywoodland" there the other night). OnSundays all day you can get any of the appetizers on the menu HALF PRICE sitting up at the bar where they have nice new stools; totally layed back.

A top joint in the city – I seriously love this place. Every time I am in the city.... I go out of my way to eat there. Burgers with the best taste, the bun is good, the cheeze it great, its all so good I dont know how they do it. I also like the fried shrimp... they are fried in a flakey crisp batter that is go good and the shrimp taste so fresh... amazing. I always get tons of sides like mac and cheeze, mashed potatoes, and tons of gravy. There is alot on the menu but its all so good that I cant go wrong with my normal pic... read more

Got Flavor? – Nestled between Lafayette Street and Broadway, Acme is a great place to enjoy some mouthwatering dishes and happening atmosphere. The decor is rustic and full of flare. Acme's flare is matched by its down to earth and fun to talk to staff. Great coversation. If you have a palette for spice and sheer flavor, this place is for you. Pick one of the many hot sauces which line the walls and you are in business. Test your tolerance with some "scorned woman" hot sauce, but be sure to have a Red Stripe or Hoegarden rea... read more
