I was very pleased with the service at Ace Transmissions. I had my transmission flushed on my '04 Impala. Johnny Valdez was great to deal with and had me back on the road in less then two hours. I also had my transmission rebuilt on my '01 Grand Prix at Ace Transmissions. I have had no issuses with the transmission since it was rebuilt. I highly recommend Ace Transmissions to anyone.

I had my tranmission rebuilt over 5 years, and 40,000 miles ago. Everything is still running fine. I am going in for the maintenance service and expect everything to keep running.

I was very angry that after I had my transmission flushed at speedy oil & lube at 925 Leonard st nw GR MI my transmission began to fail.. I was so pissed off at speedy oil change for this and I would not recomend them to my worst enemy. So after these jerks wrecked my transmission I brought my car to Ace for service. I had it inspected and they told me that yes my tranny was going out. My wife and I decided to have the work done to the vehicle. After getting a few estimates, we went with the best price and referral with Ace Transmission. They were great to work with and got our rebuilt transmission installed timely! Next day we picked it up and were heading up to the UP for vacation......we had issues while driving and called John for help. It ended up not being transimission related, but John made calls and found a local garage where we were at and got us right in to get it looked at. He was helpful, courteous and quick! I would recommend them!!

About two months ago I had a new transmission put in my '91 Dodge Stealth. But, after the installation of the new transmission, my Stealth was stuck in 2nd gear and would not shift at all. For two months I called places trying to find an answer as to why my car would not shift. I called up Johnny Valdez at Ace Transmissions. He said he could have the car running in two hours. After having several weeks of problems with my '95 Saturn I got the advise of a mechanic who said John at Ace Transmission is a "straight shooter". I took my car in & had it checked out & it WAS the transmission. This is the bad news part. Being on a fixed income I really didn't need this - but I need my car so I told them "go ahead & fix it". Out of town (Illinois) visiting Grand Rapids, Mi. Jan. 28 2010 developed transmission problems - fluid leaking. Not knowing a local Trans. company - I got one reference from the motel staff: They (shop) Couldn't get me in for a week or more - I would be stuck in motel - waiting! So far so good pretty pricey,But you get what you pay for these days.Total rebuilt on this one,98 Contour,I'll let You know ,once We test drive.
