Showed up minutes before closing and everyone was ready and happy to help. My wife and I both have managed hardwares and we know it's tough to be excited to see a customer that late. A tall young man with blond hair was a great help and got us out in time for closing. Thank you to a great night staff!!!!
My mother had a horrible experience at Bernard's a while back. The woman working felt horrible about my mom's treatment but the man who had the final word was plain and simple a jerk. I continued to use Bernard's because I'm repainting a whole house and have had many projects. Today I stood by the paint department with my arms loaded with supplies and paint color samples. You'd think I was invisible. An obnoxious customer got service immediately. I'd hope you didn't have to be rude to get service. Self Serve Lumber is close.... read more
Bernards Ace Hardware was out of an advertised paint. They would not substitute any other kind nor offer a rain check. Seemed like false advertising with no concern about customer service. I will not go back. I found another paint store in nearby Belding. It's a family owned business with much better paint and service. Thomas Home Improvement right on Belding Road just east of M91.
Great service, products, prices and staff that are always willing to go the extra mile... Plus the Manager is really cute!
