Kind of a dingy, not well stocked ACE. They didn't have a decent 16 oz rip claw hanger or black #8 wood screws. We went to Lowe's, instead.
Drove 25 min to get paint, and the “paint guy” was on lunch for 1 hour. I understand being short handed, but just go to Lowe’s. Ace hardware is pretty notorious for being short staffed (again Ace’s fault), making the wrong paint color, and wrong sheers. Go to Lowe’s. Won’t make that mistake again after 12 times.
We were looking for a sharkbite because we have a leak. The carbondale ACE was out. I called about 5 minutes before closing and let the kid who answered know we were 3 minutes out. Instead of trying to be helpful or courteous, even checking he said, "We're closing". I understand it's a holiday weekend, but come on. You don't care to help someone and take an extra 10 minutes of your time. It's a sharkbite we need, not something that can wait.
