I highly recommend ACE Computer Repair. I found them through GoogleMaps. After my hard drive crashed and the Geek Squad at Best Buy were absolutely of no help with salvaging my data, ACE recovered every bit (and byte :) ). All my cherished photos and videos of family were safe and restored. And they kept me informed and up-to-date on what to expect throughout the day (they only had it for one day!). I am a student at UMD so I need my computer to be up and running. I went to other places around the College Park-Laurel area and they were either out of business or I felt uncomfortable leaving my computer there. The people at ACE were very friendly, patient and knowledgeable about all of my computer concerns. They were loads cheaper than taking my PC to the manufacturer and above all honest with what needed to be done. I hopefully will not need to repair my computer again but if I did, I would take it straight back to ACE.

Last week my Office PC wouldn't let me in (TROJANS) and thought I had lost all my stuff. But yesterday I call Arthur and Cheryl at ACE and Arthur said "bring it on in and we will take care of you." Yesterday, computer did not work after a thunderstorm. A year earlier, a lightning strike had caused a power supply, motherboard and modem replacement plus time loss. Called the manufacturer and that was the story (again!), estimated parts and labor north of $500! They suggested ACE Computer Repair. ACE were closing for the day, but Mrs English said to come in since clearly I had a time crunch and they would stay and do the diagnostics immediately. Hi, I have an external drive that seems to have failed. I have plugged it into my machine and it recognizes the drive in Disk Manager. It says the drive is not initialized. When I tried to initialize the drive it says the device is not ready. I want to recover my HDD. Then I tried salvage data and they worked very speedily and marvelously.
