I called this ACE Cash Express location to ask about cashing a government-issued check and was told the fee would be “between 5% and 10%,” depending on whether I’m a new customer and other factors. For a $6,000 check, that means they expect people to pay $300–$600 just in fees for a basic check-cashing transaction.
