Emily came out to appraise our property for a refinance. Out home appraised for $740,000 in 2023. Since then, we have added an ADU, that cost $130,000. We received our tax update notice, and it stated $787,000. Usually, the tax notice is lower than what a home appraises for. Our appraisal came back at $625,000!!?? Lazy, only used comps, and provided no real value as to the true value of OUR home, not the neighbors.
