Chris Matteson was the inspector for my house. He seemed good at first; albeit, he talked more than he worked which should have been a red flag. Also, read the fine print - there is so much that he would not do. As just two examples, he would not go in the attic as part of the inspection, and he would not remove any ceiling tiles in the drop down ceiling unless he saw water damage.There was none. This will be a glowing review and so I want to make it clear Chris is not a previous friend nor do I have any financial interest in recommending him. That said, Chris, who is the owner and only employee I think, was beyond outstanding as a home inspector and educator. He was extraordinary. I have dealt with a few in my time and they do their job but don't go past that. My wife and I recently hired Chris for a home inspection. We are from out of town and he was able accomodate the limited time we had in the area. Chris is very thorough and passed along a lot of great information during the inspection, which we really appreciated as first time homeowners. He was even kind enough to return the property to test the air conditioner on the property the day ater our inspection because it was too cold on inspection day. No words for how grateful to have had Chris as my inspector!! He was so kind, thorough and answered all my questions. He even gave maintenance tips along the way and just helpful recommendations that is so important for a first time homebuyer!! Great price as well. Highly highly recommend Chris and will be reaching back to him for his first time home buyer class.
