Im a seasoned mortgage agent, and we ordered an appraisal for our rental home. The appraiser sent for whatever reason, came in with attitude, left with attitude and ended up giving a 1m evaluation for the home, where the home is worth 1.15 all day everyday. When my brokerage called the company, they upped the value by 75k, proving the appraisers biased opinion...however, I still ended up getting another appraisal and paying a second time, much cheaper and by a much more reputable company for a 1.107m valuation.
