I have had luck with Utica Park Urgent Care in the past, but I won’t be going back after my experience with the Yale location. I saw the bad reviews, but decided to use this location because I was ill, alone, and nearby. The care provider, a nurse practitioner named Marty, is cold, dismissive, and judgmental (as if it was my fault I was sick). I needed nausea meds and he treated me like I was a moron or a drug-seeking liar. Going to stick with St. John Urgent Care going forward.
Nice people, but slooooowwww
I waited for over an hour even though I arrived with NO ONE in the waiting room. Two people went into a room before me who arrived AFTER me. When I asked the front desk receptionist, she said they had a "booked" time for a drug test or swab etc. I was in a GREAT DEAL OF PAIN that came on suddenly due to an accidental bite from a Black Widow and yet I watched ppl who had made some sort of "APPOINTMENT" at an URGENT CARE be treated before me. Would not recommend UC in the first place, but especially not this one! Guaranteed long wait times, rude check-in staff, and in my case, a $50 copay just to visit my primary Dr in the long run. The antibiotic they gave me did nothing to help.
Wont answer the phone and don't make sure you are good to go before leaving.
