The Academy Mortgage staff did everything within their power to remove roadblocks and explain the next steps to ensure I was comfortable during my home closing process.
These people are all talk and no action. After SEVEN weeks they still could not give me a definitive closing date. I was told 50/50 chance we would close in October. So I went to Bay Equity in Gilbert on Pecos. In less than 2 weeks they closed our VA loan and got us in our new home. Then Academy actual said the $ they spent restoring our credit, they were going to send US the bill for. 1- I never asked them to pay for anything. 2- I'm pretty sure it's against the law to bill a client for re-scores. American Mortgage was absolutely amazing during my loan process. I worked with John Z. And Jessica with Wilson Parker Homes. They were able to explain the process to me and answer my questions. Scott Smith & Jason Bastian and the rest of the Staff @ Academy Mortgage were FANTASTIC!! They made the process seamless, moving very easy throughout the process. Absolute Professionalism from Scott and everyone of his team members. I recommend AMC to anyone and everyone I speak with. Don't know what they are doing with investment property. Waste of time and money on appraisal. They don't tell you upfront they broker out investment mortgages only to tell you they can't find an investor to back the mortgage
I had a great experience working with Kavita Bhatia. My schedule is very busy and she was able to understand and accommodate our needs clearly. She has clear knowledge of her work. Missed my closing date and GM wont return phone calls. Underwriters took over 3 days to make a photocopy to put in file so if you want to close on time I suggest you don't use them.
